The website galup.it (https://www.galup.it) is an e-commerce portal through which food products are sold online. As a digital service intended for European consumers, it is subject to the accessibility requirements set out in Regulation (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act), applicable from June 28, 2025.  

 

Compliance status

The site is currently partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.  

  • Some images do not contain appropriate alternative descriptions;
  • Some interactive elements (forms, buttons) may not be fully accessible via keyboard;
  • Error messages in forms are not always announced by screen readers;
  • Certain graphic elements may not meet minimum contrast criteria;
  • The purchase and checkout processes are not fully optimized for assistive technologies.

Planned corrective actions

  • Revision of the code to ensure correct HTML semantics;
  • Inclusion of complete text alternatives for all images;
  • In-depth testing with assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation);
  • Resolution of color contrast issues;
  • Improvement of the accessibility of the purchase flow (shopping cart, checkout, payment).
