Galup celebrates the Tour de France in Pinerolo with a historical installation

To celebrate the start of the fourth stage of the Tour de France 2024, we collaborated with Tuttosport and the Municipality of Pinerolo to create a unique installation dedicated to the famous cycling race.

This exhibition, visible in the city centre until 31 July, will offer visitors an exciting visual journey through the history of the Tour de France.

Walking under the arcades of Corso Torino, you can admire eight double-sided panels that tell the epic feats of the Tour, with a special focus on the historic victories of Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali in 1949. In that year, Fausto Coppi achieved the historic double by winning both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, while Gino Bartali came in second in both competitions. The images of the two legendary champions are accompanied by our special tribute: a panettone in homage to their victories.
This initiative is part of the program of events organized by the Municipality of Pinerolo to celebrate the Tour de France, and also represents an opportunity for us to reaffirm our strong bond with the Pinerolo area. For over a century, in fact, Galup has been synonymous with confectionery excellence, with our low panettone covered in hazelnut icing that has become a symbol of Italian holidays. The collaboration with Tuttosport allows us to celebrate not only the great names of Italian cycling, such as Coppi, Bartali, Gimondi, Nibali and Pantani, but also to reaffirm our commitment to the community.
Galup has been present on Italian tables since 1922, accompanying the most important moments of families with high quality and traditional products. With this installation, we not only celebrate the history of cycling, but we also renew our commitment to the community of Pinerolo, demonstrating once again our strong bond with the territory.
