Galup opens 2024 with a bang!

2024 opens with the best auspices for Galup which, after a Christmas closure
2023 definitely satisfactory, start this new year under the sign of great
and important news.
At the end of 2023, GLP – the holding company headed by the TCN GROUP – chaired
by Giuseppe Bernocco and Sebastiano Astegiano – and to whom all the
companies in the Food sector (Galup with the Streglio brand, Mandrile Melis, Pasticceria
Cuneo and now Golosi) of the group - has acquired 90% of the company shares of
Golosi di Salute srl, a company from Monticello d'Alba (CN), founded in 2005 from an idea
of the master pastry chef Luca Montersino. The remaining 10% was purchased by
Farinetti family.
A path that has materialized over time and has distant roots. It was in fact the
2017 when Golosi was acquired 50% by Eataly and 50% by
TCN Group led by Bernocco and partner Sebastiano Astegiano.
Today Golosi carries forward the idea with which it was born, that is, the creation of a
good and genuine pastry, focused on the search for quality ingredients "not
conventional”, such as kamut flour, spelt, rice, grape sugar, fructose, malt,
extra virgin olive oil, as a substitute for conventional ingredients, to obtain
unique recipes. Golosi's core business is focused on the production of desserts
single-portion frozen products, sold mainly for the Ho.Re.Ca and travel channels to which
the production of dry pastries sold at Golosi - Il laboratorio del gusto is added.
2024 therefore becomes the year that marks the start of an important growth path
of GLP brands with the aim of creating a real confectionery hub within which the individual brands will be developed and enhanced also
through synergic paths in the production and commercial fields. GLP is today a
a company that employs 95 people with a 2023 turnover of 29 million euros.

Giuseppe Bernocco – “This was the philosophy that guided us many years ago
when we joined the Galup project and it is still the same today,
in the belief that with our daily work, made of commitment, passion and
obviously also investments, we can contribute to the growth of unique realities,
appreciated throughout the country and beyond, therefore arises from this feeling
the will of the GLP project which aims to become a centre of excellence in the sector
confectionery.”
A continuous growth path for the Group led by Bernocco and
Astegiano who also includes the return, as CEO
GLP by Stefano Borromeo who, after an external professional experience in
2023, he returns "to his world" - as he himself declares - to fill that role
with which, in the past years, he has completed an important development
of the Pinerolo company. “I am happy to embark on a new journey with GLP
which will certainly be challenging but, I am sure, also a harbinger of great things
satisfactions. We start with a 2024 that immediately turns out to be an important year and
for which there are many projects that we will be carrying out" – he declares
Borromeo.
