The first post-pandemic edition of Cibus - the International Food Exhibition - which opened at Fiere Parma on Tuesday 31 August, has reached its closing stages: a special edition that marked the return to in-person meetings at large events.
And precisely on this occasion, so full of emotions, Galup - a Piedmontese brand which, in its sector, has modified and made the history of a national product such as panettone - invented in 1922 by Pietro Ferrua - received important recognition. In fact, on the afternoon of Thursday 2 September, the 2021 Tespi Awards were assigned to the companies most voted for by a jury made up of 101 experts from the food world.
Galup has seen an important path recognised, achieved in these last 18 months of the pandemic, during which the Pinerolo company worked with commitment and foresight to carry out important projects.

CHARITY INITIATIVE AWARD 2020: SUPPORT FOR THE PIEDMONT FOUNDATION FOR CANCER RESEARCH ONLUS
Galup, on the occasion of the thirtieth edition of the "Match of the Heart", which took place on May 25th at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, took to the field alongside the "Champions for Research" to support the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research.

On September 7, 2024, at the Luigi Barbieri Municipal Stadium in Pinerolo, the "Galup che Goal!" event will be held, a solidarity football match organized by Galup and supported by FC Calcio Pinerolo. The challenge will see the National Calcio TV & Social team face Team Galup , made up of company employees and residents of Pinerolo. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to local associations committed to helping children and families in difficulty.

Galup celebrates the Tour de France in Pinerolo with a historical installation
Pinerolo will host the start of the fourth stage of the Tour de France on July 1, 2024. For the occasion, Galup has created an installation, in collaboration with Tuttosport and with the patronage of the city, which will be visible until July 31. The exhibition, located under the arcades of Corso Torino, includes eight panels that tell the story of the Tour, with images dedicated to the feats of Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali in 1949. This event underlines the deep bond between Galup and the Pinerolo area, celebrating the Italian cycling tradition and the history of the confectionery company.
